Sharon Gan is an e-learning and multimedia developer for Skilled KC Technical Institute, where she works closely with instructional designers and instructors, supporting the development of courses housed in a learning management system (LMS).
Prior to joining Skilled KC, Gan was an instructional designer with Park University and then Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences, where she partnered with subject matter experts in designing and redeveloping courses for hybrid and online delivery. Earlier, Gan worked in Southeast Asia in the field of learning and development, coordinating and facilitating synchronous and asynchronous corporate training, as well as communications, planning social responsibility events, coordinating the mentorship program, and publishing the regional magazine.
Gan has a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy studies and a Master of Science in education, both with an emphasis in educational technology, from the University of Kansas. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in human resources consulting from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and a certificate on effective teaching practices from the Association of College and University Educators.
